About Manhattan 75
A community-run block association.
Our Mission
Our mission at Manhattan 75 is to create a vibrant, welcoming community on West 75th Street by celebrating its unique character, fostering meaningful connections among neighbors, and advocating for a safe, clean, and beautiful block for all who live here.
Our Story
West 75th Street has a soul worth protecting — the brownstones, the sidewalk corners, the quiet pride of a block that knows its own character. Manhattan 75 exists to keep that alive.
We're rooted in a tradition of neighbors who show up. The block association has been here for decades — people used to greet each other on the street, vie over flowerbed beautification, grow up living down the hall from friends they'd keep for life. That spirit went quiet during the pandemic, but it didn't disappear.
The current chapter is a revival. A small group of neighbors reconnected with former block association leaders, picked up where things left off, and got to work. Today we're planting tree beds, running monthly cleanups, organizing gatherings from park picnics to rooftop meetups, and working to keep West 75th — from Central Park West to Riverside Drive — a place people are proud to call home.
